Welcome! We are your hosts, Lee & Shelley Plunkett. Our vacation home is in the prestigious "East End Historic District" of Galveston Island. We come here often and are pleased to be able to offer our home's first story to you--our guest (we are re-habbing the second floor and will have it available for rental by Summer 08'). The house was built in 1910 but all of the amenities and furnishings are comfortable and contemporary.
Choosing the right vacation home can make all the difference. You will want to be close to everything that makes a vacation fun and memorable and you want to be comfortable and unhurried. We are in the main section of Galveston Island so we are just a 2 minute drive to shopping, beaches and cruise terminals and a 2 to 7 minute drive to most of Galveston's attractions. You can walk to 2 of the island's most popular restaurants. We supply the soft Egyptian cotton linens and fluffy, white bath sheets.
The kitchen is well stocked and the pillow-top beds are super comfy.
Everything is here for your comfort and convenience.
Listen to the doves as you enjoy your morning coffee on our veranda, then take the short walk to Sunflower Bakery or Mosquito Cafe' for a treat or a full breakfast. Enjoy a day at the beach or take the kids to "Schlitterbahn" the nation's favorite water park. So come on! What are you waiting for? There's plenty to see and do here... you'll see...it's better on the island!
